This Code of Conduct ensures that our campus remains safe, inspiring, growth-oriented, and industry-ready at all times.
Student Code of Conduct
01 Professional Behaviour & Attitude
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and cooperative attitude with faculty, staff, and peers.
- Treat every class, workshop, Electric Saturday activity, MasterStroke competition, guest lecture, or outdoor session as a professional assignment.
- Avoid disruptive behaviour, gossip, bullying, or any action that harms the learning environment.
- Follow all instructions during studio sessions, high-end lab usage, and project reviews.
02 Punctuality & Attendance
- Students must report on time for all classes, revision lectures, studios, seminars, and events.
- Minimum attendance requirements must be met to appear for internal assessments, project submissions, and university exams (BVOC).
- Inform the academic team in advance in case of emergencies or unavoidable absences.
- Habitual late-coming will affect your grades, participation, and project evaluations.
03 Assignments, Projects & Submissions
- All assignments—daily, weekly, monthly, Electric Saturday tasks or MasterStroke competitions—must be submitted on time.
- Plagiarism, copying, or using downloaded project files is strictly prohibited.
- Students must participate in all in-house competitions and portfolio-building activities to strengthen their career profile.
- Respect evaluation deadlines. Late submissions may lead to mark deductions or rejection.
04 Respect for Campus, Lab & Studio Spaces
- Keep classrooms, labs, drawing studios, and common spaces clean and organised.
- Handle computers, pen tablets, cameras, clay tools, lightboxes, and all equipment responsibly.
- Damaging property intentionally or through negligence may result in penalties or replacement charges.
- Food and beverages are not allowed inside the studios and computer labs.
05 Digital Conduct & Technology Usage
- Institute systems must be used strictly for academic purposes.
- Accessing or downloading harmful, pirated, or inappropriate content is not permitted.
- Students must maintain backups of their work; the institute is not responsible for personal file loss.
- Mobile phones must be on silent mode during class and used only with permission.
06 Behaviour During Events & Outdoor Activities
ZICA Pune conducts multiple high-value, experiential activities:
- Electric Saturday
- MasterStroke Digital Competitions
- Museum Visits
- Outdoor Sketching Trips
- Clay Modelling Days
- Studio Tours & Industry Workshops
During all such events, students must:
- Maintain discipline and follow faculty instructions.
- Represent ZICA Pune with professionalism and etiquette in public places.
- Respect public property, rules of visited venues, and event hosts.
- Submit event reports or assignments when applicable.
07 Dress Code & Personal Grooming
- Students must be neatly dressed and well-groomed.
- Wear appropriate attire for events, outdoor sessions, studio visits, and placement drives.
- Shorts, revealing outfits, and objectionable graphics on clothing are not permitted in the academic environment.
08 Interaction With Faculty & Staff
- Show courtesy and respect to all academic mentors, counsellors, coordinators, and management.
- Follow the hierarchical process—Approach course faculty → Academic Head → Centre Head—when you need support.
- Maintain professional communication at all times.
09 Safety, Security & Wellbeing
Follow all safety rules while handling lab equipment, clay tools, electrical equipment, and software systems.
The institute has zero tolerance for:
- Harassment of any form
- Discriminatory behaviour
- Violence or threats
- Possession of prohibited substances
Any safety or wellbeing concerns must be immediately reported to the management.
10 Fees, Administrative Policies & Documentation
- Students must adhere to institute policies related to fees, admissions, and use of facilities.
- Fees once paid is non-refundable & non-transferable in any case.
- All legal or academic documents submitted must be authentic and verified.
- Payment commitments must be honoured as per the schedule to avoid disruption in academic services.
11 Participation in Placements & Internships
- Students must meet academic, attendance, and portfolio requirements to be eligible for internships, studio visits, and placement drives.
- Professional etiquette during interviews, internships, and shadowing programs is mandatory.
- Misconduct during external training may result in removal from placement opportunities.
12 Use of Social Media
- Students are encouraged to proudly showcase their work, events, and campus life with integrity.
- Posting negative, misleading, harmful, or disrespectful comments about peers, faculty, staff, or the institute will result in strict action.
- Confidential class content or project files must not be shared online without permission.
13 Respect for the Learning Community
- ZICA Pune is a family-like creative community.
- Respect diversity of ideas, backgrounds, and artistic styles.
- Be supportive, avoid negativity, and help create a campus culture of humility, kindness, and creativity—values we nurture intentionally.
14 Consequences of Violations
Depending on the severity, actions may include:
- Verbal or written warnings
- Meeting with parents
- Suspension from class or events
- Loss of placement eligibility
- Disciplinary action or termination in extreme cases
15 Student Commitment
By enrolling at ZICA Pune, each student agrees to:
